The Blanket Ceremony

Sharing a vision I had while attending my niece’s wedding ceremony on the Big Island of Hawaii in November, a few days prior to the eruption of Mauna Loa Volcano. 

Along with the christian wedding ceremony, the groom's grandmother (and grandfather) performed a Native American blanket ceremony. She washed the couple with smoke from burning sage. She moved the smoke around and through them. As she did this, I saw a guide, or what I will call a “wise one” sweep upward from behind them. Larger than life, immense, a stunning, loving masculine energy in white with a large medallion of white and turquoise on his chest. I did not see a face, it was blurred out, only the white robe and medallion. This “wise one” emitted an awesome energy of love that I felt in the pit of my chest, took my breath away and moved me to tears. It was truly beautiful to see this couple, wrapped in a blanket with this loving, powerful energy behind them. I am grateful to have witnessed such a moment.
