It took a lot of work for me to set my intentions for this coming year.
I am starting from a place of gratitude. Before setting my intentions, I have spent a period of time establishing a practice of gratitude either before getting out of bed in the morning or before going to sleep at night. I run through all the things I am grateful for including things that have not even happened yet. I notice a great shift in my energy when I do this and feel it sets a foundation for intentions to exist.
Next, I am thinking about how I want to feel this coming year. Intentions are how you want to be and feel. I started with a list of goals and then spent time translating them into heart centered states of being.
My intention is to recognize false fears and replace them with truthful and positive actualities.
Next, I have a conversation with my guides and hand over these intentions to them remaining open and trusting in their help and guidance in seeing how these intentions unfold. While they are working in the background, I work every day to keep up the positive energy making my intended future my current reality. I do this through meditation and mindful moments of awareness so that it becomes a natural state of being.
To recap on setting intentions:
You are the creator..
“The creative process then is not about hoping, wishing, waiting, wanting, trying or looking—hope is a beggar. It’s about embodying and becoming your creation."
